About Training

This module explains the benefits of extracurricular activities related to career orientation in terms of personal, professional, and academic development of students.

This training module addresses the following topics:

  • The role and importance of extra-curricular activities
  • Liaison with the Curriculum Framework
  • Learning the possibilities of schooling and vocational training after finishing upper secondary school
  • Organizing activities such as: Education Opens Doors School Open Days, Career Week, Job Fair, Job Shadowing, Career Club in VET and Gymnasiums, Career and Entrepreneurship Workshops and information sessions with graduates.

Training objectives

All candidates who successfully complete this training will be able to:

  • Understand the importance of career orientation
  • Identify key career orientation activities
  • Know how to plan activities throughout grades VI - XII
  • Know how to plan the necessary resources for the implementation of activities related to the provision of career orientation services
  • Prepare career orientation lectures towards completing the curriculum objectives
  • Organize activities within the classroom and the school in collaboration with other teachers as well as with other schools of different levels
  • Initiate projects related to student orientation and their career education
  • Compile an annual plan of career orientation activities coordinated with other teachers.

To ensure effective learning of training materials, the following working methodologies are applied:

  • Demonstration
  • Discussion

The training is taught through the presentation in the training room or virtually through the ZOOM platform, where the trainer and the assistant explain the module. Candidates are provided with the module book and are given space for discussion.

Certification

Candidates have the opportunity to obtain a certificate after successful evaluation in the following criteria:

  1. Participation in training
  2. Tasks to be completed for certification
