Projects

Current KCDF projects

With the experience of our staff in the field of education, we are currently implementing several projects for different parties, such as ministries, municipal directorates of education, schools, international organizations, etc.

Establishment and Coordination of Career Clubs in Upper Secondary Schools

In order to further support schools and teachers to provide the best career guidance services to youth, KCDF has been working closely with USAID’s program After School Support for Teens (ASSET) and GIZ, the German Association for International Cooperation, to establish Career Clubs in gymnasiums and vocational schools. The aim for this is to establish Career Clubs in upper secondary schools and provide continuous support in better aligning with businesses, support teachers in offering better career guidance services, and help students get in touch with potential future employers.

Video Development of Occupations

In cooperation with USAID’s program After School Support for Teens (ASSET), KCDF has published in Busulla.COM five videos of occupations, prepared by high school students who participated in the Design Challenge. These occupations’ videos inform all Busulla.COM users about a typical day on the job, advantages and disadvantages, knowledge required, and other information that are useful for students. KCDF team was also engaged in preparing the occupations’ descriptions to provide more relevant and easy to access information for students.

Implementation of Busulla.COM in Serb-majority municipalities

In order to include all schools throughout the country for counseling and career guidance services, KCDF with the support of the EYE Project (Enhancing Youth Employment) anticipates the translation of the Busulla.COM platform into Serbian and the training of 50 teachers for career guidance through Busulla.COM. Using this platform will facilitate the work of teachers in providing better services to students, while students will be provided effective support in decision-making about their career path.

Training of Career Center Staff on the topic “Labor Law, Professional Conduct and Ethics”

In support of students and Career Centers in our country, KCDF has launched the project “Labor Law, Professional Conduct and Ethics” with the support of the EYE Project (Enhancing Youth Employment).

The main goal of this project is to increase the capacity of Career Centers to teach the module “Labor Law, Professional Conduct and Ethics” to students of vocational schools. Through this module, students are introduced to their rights and responsibilities in the workplace. They also learn how to deal with situations in the world of work that could lead to ethical dilemmas, interaction with colleagues and partners, and the importance of continuous professional development.

Facilitating the transition of grade IX pupils from lower to upper secondary school

With a pupil centered approach, this project which is supported by Solidar Suisse and MED in Peja, aims to provide efficient career guidance services for grade IX pupils in the municipality of Peja. Pupils will be provided with methods and instructions that enable them to make a well-informed decision about their career, respectively, upper secondary school profile, depending on the industry and the occupation they aspire to have.

In addition to the individual well-being of pupils, the project has also an impact on the education system and the labor market. By reflecting on career steps and introducing all upper secondary schools’ profiles, pupils are encouraged to consider vocational education as well. This way, through the promotion of vocational schools, we mediate the liaison with the labor market.
